Warning! Do not install these unless you know exactly what you’re doing. These Portfiles might leave you with an inconsistent and non-functioning MacPorts!
So why put them here? If you know that an OSS package works with the current Mac OS X libraries (e.g. iconv, zlib etc.), then you can safely use them. I mainly wrote them because my Qt was linking to another libiconv as glib, which is not healthy.
How to install: After checking out (e.g. into /Users/yourself/src/macports-dummies), add the following line on top of your /opt/local/etc/macports/sources.conf:
file:///Users/yourself/src/macports-dummies
