Welcome to the PageSix README
PageSix is an IRC service bot. Written from scratch, it is
primarily meant to provide services to the various #sourcemage
channels (but not exclusively) on irc.freenode.net.
This is my first major programming project in years, and it
shows in many ways. However, as the saying goes, “it gets me
from point A to point B.” Any comments, complaints, suggestions
or patches are welcome. PageSix is written in Modula-2, using
the XDS-x86 Modula-2 / Oberon-2 compiler available at:
http://www.excelsior-usa.com/xds.html
The name PageSix doesn’t signify anything at all in the context
of the Source Mage GNU/Linux metaphor. It reflects my Atari
programming heritage. In the 8-bit Atari computers, page 6 was
the area of memory where user machine language/assembly language
programs resided.
